Fair Oaks Water District resides in the historical portion of the City of Fair Oaks, thus needed to meet the City's requirements to fit into this context. Marthe chose a 1920's Spanish Colonial feel as the design concept for the interior - and encouraged its use on the exterior - since it has close ties with California history and its public entities. Thus, even the presentation graphics emphasized a more Old World look.
